Important Information About Banner Requests

So, something has been brought to my attention this morning, something that I have been noticing a bit of lately myself. There are quite a lot of authors going around and requesting banners from several different banner makers for the same stories. We are not liking this.

We (banner makers) put a lot of work into these banners. We have fun with them and we enjoy doing the work for you all. That is why we started doing them to begin with. BUT - when you take advantage of that, it takes the fun out of it for us.

In result of that - and I will be paying more attention - I will not being making banners for people who already have them. It is not a fair, or nice thing to do and you are taking advantage of our free help.

I have already put a new question in the banner request form. It is up to you to be completely honest and fill it out correctly. Simple yes, or no for if you already have a banner. Please be honest on this because, at the risk of sounding a bit creepy, I will find out.

Remember that this if fun and it’s what I love to do. I put together this blog because I really enjoy making banners for people. Please do not change that.

If you submit a request and I know that you have already requested one from someone else, I can and will deny your request. Also, when requesting banners, please be polite. Emailing me just a few days after submitting to ask if I am done yet does not get your banner done quicker.

Please keep this fun for all of us.

  1. I like how you have your waiting list posted to the side, I'll start doing that on my blog too in hopes that we can take care of this issue.

  2. This is so true Hun.

I've only been taking requests for about 2 weeks, but I have already wanted to quit.

I received a request and 2 days later I received a rude email stating that it had been 48 hours and that she had found someone else.
    I was so upset!

I mean, how difficult is common courtesy and being polite?

  3. Hi sweety! Its been a couple of days since i have checked in on you. Sorry I have been MIA on Twitter, lol. Life has been very busy :) Anyway oh sweety you and i ahve talked about this before in emails. But i will say again that I agree with you 100% on this!! I support you lovely banner makers on this fully. Because if I was in your position I woudl feel the same exact way! You have every right to request of this. You ladies take your time that somedays you dont have and do this out of the goodness of your heart for everyone. There has to be some people taking advantage of it. Thats not cool at all. Unfortunately because of that you had to resort to this. Honestly its the best decision and I believe it will work out for you and hopefully things will go smoother. I dont think it's right at all for people to ask several banner makers at the same time to make a banner for their story not cool. *shakes head* I'm just so sorry you had to go through this. Im behind you hun and you can vent to me anytime. Anyway I will be on Twitter later on, hope to chat then! *hugs, Leslie
